Through the late 19th century, dyes used to color textiles came primarily from naturally occurring materials, such as plants. In this workshop, Pat Brodowski will explore the techniques and materials used in the natural dyeing of fabrics such as silk, cotton and wool.
Location: Gilmore Cabin (Located on Rt. 20 across from the main entrance to James Madison's Montpelier.)
